Which desert safari should you choose?

Most people are deciding between three options. Here is the honest difference.

Evening desert safari — the classic

Our most booked tour, and the right choice if you only do one. You are collected in the afternoon, drive out to the dunes for dune bashing while the light is still good, then arrive at camp for sunset. Dinner, entertainment and the full camp experience follow. Around 7 hours door to door. From AED 202.

Morning desert safari — private and quieter

A private tour for small groups. Cooler temperatures, far fewer vehicles on the dunes, and you are back at your hotel by lunchtime. The better pick if you are short on time, travelling with young children, or visiting in summer. From AED 559.

Sunrise desert safari — best for photos

The quietest of the three. You reach the dunes before anyone else and watch the desert wake up. The low morning light on the sand is the best of the day, and the temperature is comfortable even in July. From AED 567.

Staying further out — Jebel Ali, Dubai South, or Sharjah? We can still collect you, with a small transfer charge. Message us with your hotel name and we will quote it before you book.

How much does a desert safari in Dubai cost?

Prices vary a lot across Dubai operators, and the cheapest quotes usually exclude pickup or put you in a shared vehicle with fourteen other people. Ours are all-inclusive:

Best time of year for a desert safari

October to March is the most comfortable window — daytime temperatures sit around 25°C and the evenings are pleasant enough that you will want a light jacket at camp.

From June to September the afternoons are genuinely hot, often above 42°C. The desert is still worth doing, but a sunrise or morning safari is the smarter booking in those months. Evening safaris still run year-round.

What to wear and what to bring

Closed shoes and loose, light clothing make a real difference out on the sand. Bring sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen, and a light layer for after sunset when the temperature drops sharply.
